I'm the mom of a 7 year old boy ("Monkey") and a 1 year old girl ("Punkin"). I also work full time as the Business Strategy Director at a marketing services company.
I spend a ridiculous amount of time reading blogs, think social media is the best thing since sliced bread, and am addicted to chocolate licorice (I know, strange).
I've worked for the same company for 10 years and still love it. I'm constantly looking for ways to make it a place that people WANT to come to everyday, so I obsessively read about employee engagement, workplace collaboration, corporate volunteerism, etc.
I've thought about blogging for close to a year now but each time I get started I let something get in my way - design, lack of strategy, lack of ideas, etc. I'm going to stop overthinking this and follow the advice of Sacha Chua which is to "just write." So here goes!
Yes, it’s hard. Nobody ever promised social media was easy, just that it was fun, and effective. But, unlike every other marketing tool for the past 200 years, it’s a meritocracy, and that benefits us all.
